Millennium Baptist Church is a traditional Baptist church, primarily African American, located in the

Parkside section of the City of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. In March, 2026 our church will be celebrating its

78th year of worship, praising God and service to our community.

Our church was born and organized in July, 1947 in a prayer meeting. One of the original 12 founding members was our late Founding and First Pastor, Rev. Dr. James L. Franklin. Chartered in May, 1961, we have had 6 Pastors during those 70 years. Our church has been in our current location 1630 North 52nd Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19131 since March 1977. We are a community church, with community programs that strives for the advancement of our members and it’s neighbors. Our doors are open to everyone regardless of who you are, where you come from or how much you have.

We believe our church Covenant to be an important document and map of Faith. It is a voluntary agreement by members of our church whereby we promise to conduct our lives in such a way to glorify God and promote the worship and praise of the kingdom. We refer to it often, and seek to live by it in our everyday life. It also clearly outlines the obligations of church membership.

We believe that these precepts outline who we are, and what we are to do in order to glorify God and live right.
